DESCRIPTION:ALONG THE NILE\nA Chai Retreat through Egypt\nDate: Luxor – Aswan – Cairo 19th – 28th March 2027  \n+ An Exhale in Sharm El Sheikh 28th -31st March 2027 \n9 DAYS – 3 DESTINATIONS – 3 DAYS ON THE NILE \nAlong the Nile is a journey through Egypt’s ancient landscapes\, rich history and living culture\, designed not just to take you somewhere new\, but to give you space to pause and think about the life you are building. \nFrom Luxor to Aswan aboard the Nile\, and onwards to Cairo\, we’ll explore some of Egypt’s most remarkable places while making room for the quieter parts of the journey too\, morning halaqas\, evening conversations\, prayer\, journaling\, chai on the deck\, good food\, sisterhood\, wandering and unhurried moments. \nBecause sometimes\, stepping into a place with thousands of years of history gives you a different perspective on your own life. \n\n\nLuxor\nWhere the journey begins\nWe’ll arrive directly in Luxor\, often described as one of the world’s greatest open-air museums. \nHere\, we’ll spend our first days walking through the remains of ancient Egypt and taking in the temples\, tombs and landscapes that have stood for thousands of years. \nOur Luxor experiences include: \n\nKarnak Temple\nLuxor Temple\nValley of the Kings\nExploring the ancient sites and landscapes of Luxor\nOptional: Hot-air balloon ride over Luxor\n\nThen\, we head south. \nThe Nile\nThree days of slowing down\nThe next part of the journey is deliberately different. \nWe board our Nile cruise and\, for three days\, the river becomes our moving home as we make our way from Luxor to Aswan. \nThere is nowhere we need to rush to. \nWatch villages and landscapes pass by from the deck. Read a book. Journal. Have a conversation. Take a nap. Sit with a cup of chai. Pray. Or do absolutely nothing. \nAlong the way\, we’ll stop to explore Edfu Temple\, one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient temples\, and Kom Ombo Temple\, a remarkable riverside temple with a history as fascinating as its setting. \nThree days to move slowly\, while still seeing so much. \nThen\, we head south. \n \nAswan\nThe journey continues south\nIn Aswan\, we’ll experience the beauty and history of southern Egypt\, with visits to: \n\nPhilae Temple\nAswan Dam\n\nAfter disembarking from the Nile cruise\, we’ll fly to Cairo for the final chapter of our journey. \nCairo\nAncient history\, living culture\nCairo brings a completely different rhythm. \nWe’ll stand before the Pyramids of Giza\, explore the historic heart of the city and spend time amongst its streets\, architecture\, mosques and centuries of Islamic history. \nAnd then\, we slow down again. \nA DAY TO SIMPLY WANDER \nOne full day will be left completely open. \nNo group itinerary. No rushing from one sight to another. No feeling like you have to make every minute count. \nJust Cairo\, at your own pace. \nShop at the markets. Visit a mall. Find a café. Pick up souvenirs. Explore. Sleep in. Sit by the pool.
